West Austin Properties
West Austin Properties was founded in 1980. Laura Duggan is second generation. Her daughter Katy Duggan Rymer is third. Forty-five years of the same family selling the same neighborhoods — Tarrytown, Westlake Hills, Barton Creek, Lost Creek. One hundred percent of their business is word of mouth. The original site was a WordPress build with twelve navigation items, MLS search, preferred lenders, market reports, webinars, neighborhood guides, buyer resources, seller resources, and two separate testimonial pages. A practice that built its entire reputation on discretion and restraint was hiding behind a site that had none of either. We saw it. We fixed it.
A third-generation family practice with forty-five years of word-of-mouth business didn't need more features. It needed fewer. The new site has three navigation items — Neighborhoods, The People, and Contact. Four neighborhood cards, each with a single evocative line. Four agent profiles, each with a personal quote. Three client testimonials attributed to the neighborhoods they love. One email form. One phone number. The entire site is built around what West Austin Properties actually is — a small, quiet, deeply rooted family practice that has been handing people pieces of Austin for almost half a century. This is not a prettier version of a cluttered WordPress site. This is restraint as a brand strategy.
